Mercer County Agricultural Development Council was formed on December 5, 1983 to promote agricultural development and rural conservation in Mercer County. The members of this council are appointed by the County Commissioners. The council meets monthly to discuss important issues and topics of recent developments of agriculture in Mercer County. The council strives to enhance economic development of the agricultural industry by promoting agriculture in a positive and visible manner and informing the citizens of how important agriculture is to the county.

The Agricultural Development Council meets the second Wednesday of each month.
